Rising pop-indie star Liam Tuffy set to ignite the SPAR Kirkwood Wildsfees stage

by Con Tributor on 23 June 2026

Emerging South African pop/indie artist Liam Tuffy is making his lifelong dream come true this winter. He is officially joining the lineup for this year’s SPAR Kirkwood Wildsfees, performing from Friday, June 26 to Sunday, June 28.

Festival-goers can catch his energetic live shows across two different platforms: the ATKV Stage and the South African Tourism Main Stage. The Port Elizabeth-based musician is well-known for putting on high-energy shows packed with crowd interaction and loud sing-a-longs.

For Tuffy, getting a spot at the festival is the reward for years of hard work and big goals.

“The feeling was absolutely unreal; I had to pinch myself a couple of times to come back to the realization that I’ve been given the honor of being a part of this,” says Tuffy. “It was truly a dream come true, as it has been a long-term plan of mine to be a part of this festival. Now, to finally be given the opportunity is completely insane, considering that just a year ago, playing this festival was only a distant dream.”

The upcoming weekend is incredibly special for Tuffy because he will be sharing the stage with the very same South African music icons he grew up looking up to.

Tuffy’s love for music started early. He grew up listening to all kinds of genres and taught himself to play the drums, guitar, and piano when he was just three years old. He describes his current style as a mix of pop, indie, rock, and folk, but he loves to experiment with new sounds rather than sticking to just one box.

Though he has played instruments his whole life, Tuffy only realized he wanted to be a professional singer in April 2025. He went to school in Cape Town before moving with his family to Port Elizabeth, where he attended Pearson High School.

Every single Liam Tuffy show is built on connecting with the crowd. He loves welcoming new fans into what he calls the “Tuffy Family.” He is excited to use this massive festival to share his music with new communities and grow as a live performer.

“Come and join me at Wildsfees se Dikste Baljaar en kom ons raak ’n bietjie WILD!” says Tuffy.
